It was a rough start when Eminem was caught with a hot mic telling his co-performers to break a leg and it only got worse.
Albany- This week Eminem was in Albany doing a charity event for the handicapped, and to his surprise, there were handicapped people who can walk. Luckily Eminem, who studies the Encyclopedia daily, is a fast learner and was able to comprehend that before getting on stage. However, the first eight rows were reserved for people in wheelchairs to help change the stigma around people in wheelchairs and a chance to give them an experience other than being forced to sit in the back.
After forgetting to start rapping, because he was surprised that the first eight rows were not standing, he told the DJ to mix it up and they would be starting with “The Real Slim Shady”, a song usually reserved for the end of a set. To his surprise, the crowd did not stand up.
For most the reasonable thing to do is to interpret your new knowledge that just because handicapped people can walk doesn’t mean all of them can. But for Eminem, the choice was clear, stage dive.
After a few stitches and a concussion later Eminem says he is coming out with a new album that will be he says, “documenting my life in a wheelchair. With my head injury, they said I will need to be in a wheelchair for at least two weeks. Since my time in this chair, I feel like I can really see life from a different perspective. People are treating me differently because of how I look and because I’m now shorter than them, all I got to say is no one is safe on this next album.”
